We invite local students that are 12 and older to be an on deck coach with Stars. Students with a swimming background or knowledge are highly welcomed to our program. Come join our Sunday morning practices and help us remain the most successful Special Olympic swimming program in Illinois. You will be glad you did!

Please complete the District 128 form or contact us for more information. You will also need to complete the Volunteer enrollment with Special Olympics Illinois.

Special Olympics Illinois requires that volunteers complete a background check, a liability waiver, and register with the state. In addition, volunteers are trained in concussion protocols and behavior standards for working with children and special needs athletes. It's an easy process to ensure everyone understands what is required and how to behave when interacting with our athletes. We are looking forward to having you work with us and our amazing athletes!
